LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel movies, has died of cancer. 

His representative says Boseman died Friday in Los Angeles after a four-year battle with colon cancer. 

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press. 

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, his family said in a statement.&nbsp;

Like so much else going on, the Post Podcast has been disrupted by the coronavirus and the precautionary measures put in place.

About a month ago, we were gearing up to begin releasing, longer, more regional podcasts on a variety of topics.

Guests were lined up and everything was in place.

Then as COVID-19 precautionary measures expanded, the studio was closed to visitors and everything was put on hold.

But the first one had been recorded, where I had an interesting conversation with music promoter, producer and founder of the Rockalooa music festival Matt Isley and his Dangerously Biased bandmate Sophi Thompson.

They had a record release show planned, for their first EP self-titled, but like the longer podcasts, that show was scrapped.

But they released the album anyway, and even though everybody’s plans changed, I still had the podcast about the current music scene in rural Kansas recorded.

So in the old tradition of "the show must go on," we put the podcast together, with a little tweaking.

The self-titled album was released and is currently available for download, but with a little luck, they will be back on the road soon, where you can hear their music live.

As for the bigger podcast project, once life returns to normal the project will be picked back up. In the meantime, our regular content will continue.

The co-founder of the Hays Community Theatre will make her playwriting debut Valentine's weekend with the murder mystery, "My Deadly Valentine."

Cheryl Glassman,63, wrote the two-act, comedy especially for the HCT's annual Valentine's weekend performances.

"I have been wanting to write something," she said. "I loved English and poetry and writing in high school. I have always wanted to write something."

When she couldn't find just the right script for the February show, her daughter encouraged her to write the play herself.

Glassman said she drew inspiration from her own life and many characters she has met over the years.

"I loved English and poetry and writing in high school. LONDON — Terry Jones, a member of the Monty Python troupe that revolutionized British comedy, has died at 77. 

Jones' family says he died Tuesday evening at his home in London after "after a long, extremely brave but always good humored battle with a rare form of dementia." 

With Eric Idle, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Graham Chapman and Terry Gilliam, Jones formed Monty Python's Flying Circus. Jones appeared in the troupe's TV series and films including "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "Monty Python's Life of Brian." 

Jones also co-directed "Holy Grail" and directed "Life of Brian" and the 1983 Python film "The Meaning of Life."
