Robert Ray Tubbs, 87, died Wednesday September 30 at his farm north of 
Levant. He was born September 25, 1933 to Harold and Elma Tubbs.  He was
 an only child. As a child growing up on the Tubbs family homestead, he 
attended Bunker Hill School. On January 9, 1955 he married Caroline 
Prokop in Colby, KS.


He was always involved in farming.  As a young man, he worked as a farm 
hand for Arley Christiansen and then Willard “Bill” Miller.  He also 
continued to help his father with the cattle and farming.  He later 
ventured out on his own and continued farming the family land.  Although
 he cussed the weather, the weeds and equipment, farming was his life 
and he loved it.


He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline; his parents; daughter Peggy and granddaughter Sara.


Survivors include his daughter Kathy (Rick) Homan; sons, Allen (Karen) 
Tubbs, Dennis (Robin) Tubbs and Justin (Angela) Tubbs; nine 
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2020, at Baalmann
 Mortuary, Colby, with the family greeting friends from 5-7:00 p.m. 
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump testing positive for the coronavirus.

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and other politial leaders in Kansas, Missouri and across the nation are sending best wishes to President Trump and First Lady Melania after after they tested positive for the coronavirus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is extending wishes of a speedy recovery to U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, and expressing “sincere support in this difficult moment,” according to a statement released by the Kremlin on Friday.

The Kremlin says Putin sent Trump a telegram saying that his "inherent vitality, good spirits and optimism will help you cope with the dangerous virus.”

Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence tested negative for COVID-19 Friday morning.

Spokesman Devin O’Malley says Pence “remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery.” Pence is tested every day for the virus, O’Malley confirmed.

Twylah Ann Hollembeak, 90, passed away October 1, 2020, at Almost 
Home in Great Bend. She was born on September 6, 1930, at Waverly to 
Harry &amp; Elsie (Kunkel) Schmidt. She married Roy Hollembeak on 
December 24, 1949, at Council Grove.&nbsp; He died May 17, 2001.

A Great Bend resident, Twylah was a school secretary for USD 428. She
 was a member of Central Baptist Church, ABW, and taught Sunday school 
for 50 years. She had a deep love for her faith. She enjoyed gardening, 
sewing, canning and quilting. She especially loved to spend time with 
her grandchildren.

Survivors include, two sons, Bruce Hollembeak and wife Jeanne of 
Wichita, and Hal Hollembeak and wife Cindy of Great Bend; a daughter, 
Paula Laudick of Wichita; a brother, Paul Schmidt and wife Ada Faye of 
Liberty, Tex.; a sister, Judy Anna Schmidt of Parsons; six 
grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death 
by her parents; her husband, Roy Hollembeak; a daughter, Brenda Royce; a
 brother, Harry Schmidt, Jr.; a sister, Wilma Kay Michel; and a son in 
law, Ron Laudick.

James B. Slemp, 92, La Crosse, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 30, 
2020, at Rush County Memorial Hospital Intermediate Swing Bed, La 
Crosse, Kansas.

James was born February 19, 1928, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, the son
 of Joseph Kermit and Reta (Yeary) Slemp.&nbsp; He was a resident of Rush 
County, Kansas, since 1984, moving from Florida.&nbsp; A graduate of Big 
Stone Gap High School, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, he owned a mobile home 
manufacturing business before his retirement.

He was a member of the VFW, and a life member of the NRA.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.

On September 22, 1949, he married Billie J. Greene in Pennington Gap, Virginia.&nbsp; She preceded him in death December 25, 2018.

Survivors include:&nbsp; one son, Joseph Slemp (Linda), La Crosse, Kansas;
 one daughter, Nancy Bollermann, Perry, Florida; three grandchildren, 
Jeremy Slemp (Ashley), Hoisington, Kansas, Lacy Quake (Andrew), Three 
Rivers, Michigan, and Ron Reed (April), La Crosse, Kansas; six great 
grandsons; and one brother, Ray Slemp, Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Leonard A. Mastroni, 71, La Crosse, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at HaysMed.

He was born May 28, 1949, in Bridgeport,
 Connecticut, the son of Leonard J. and Gladys (Glaser) Mastroni.&nbsp;&nbsp;On 
July 1, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda Johnson in Englewood, 
Colorado, and they celebrated 51 years of marriage.&nbsp;&nbsp;He graduated from 
Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in political 
science.&nbsp;&nbsp;Leonard was a police officer in the Denver, Colorado area, 
supervising officer of the Central Kansas Drug Task Force, District 
Court Judge in the Kansas 24th Judicial District for 28 years, Rush 
County Commissioner, State Representative for the 117th District, and 
with his son, was a mechanic at J &amp; L Automotive.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was a member 
of First Christian Church in LaCrosse, enjoyed being his children’s 
gymnastics coach, drag racing, spending time at his lake cabin, and 
fishing.&nbsp;&nbsp;Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and 
grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Linda, of 
the home in Lacrosse, a son; James L. Mastroni and wife Erin of Hays, a 
daughter; Sarah Pfannenstiel and husband Adam of Eagle, CO, a 
son-in-law; Mark A. Sizemore of LaCrosse, three brothers; Joseph 
Mastroni of Littleton, CO, Jim Mastroni and wife Mo of Littleton, CO, 
and Richard Mastroni and wife Ruth of Lakewood, CO, three grandchildren;
 Mark Alan Sizemore, Amanda Sizemore, and Sutton Mastroni, and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Shawn Mastroni and a daughter; Sheila Sizemore.

A public visitation will be from 5:00 
pm until 7:00 on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral

UPDATE, 8:20 a.m. Friday A special Hays City Commission meeting will be held at noon Friday at City Hall, 1507 Main, to consider a resolution extending the requirements of Ordinance No. 3988 pertaining to requiring the wearing of masks or other face coverings.

The mayor of Hays has asked for a special city commission meeting to be held Friday at noon to discuss the city's face mask ordinance set to expire Mon., Oct. 5&nbsp; at midnight.

Attending Thursday's work session via phone, Shaun Musil made the request at the end of the seven-minute meeting during other items for discussion.

"I'd like to talk about the possibility of extending the mask mandate that ends October 5th," Musil said.

Commissioner Ron Mellick was absent from the meeting.

"Three signatures are needed to call a special meeting," Toby Dougherty, city manager said.

"We will take the proper public notifications first thing in the morning so it goes out in a press release."

The city's website, <a href="https://www.haysusa.com/">haysusa.com</a>, is the official site for Hays' legal publications and notices and includes a News Flash section.

According to the <a href="https://ag.ks.gov/open-government/koma-faq">Kansas Open Meetings Act</a>&nbsp;(KOMA), requests by public bodies for meetings and/or special meetings can legally be made orally and do not have to be in writing.&nbsp;There is no KOMA duty to provide notice unless it has been requested.

Musil has been a proponent of wearing face masks. 

At the <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/71b2e036-1db2-45b6-86a9-c9d86520f000">August 27 meeting to extend the face covering ordinance</a>, Mason Ruder and Michael Berges voted against the measure.&nbsp;

Blanche VonLintel, age 99, of Hays, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society, Hays. She was born July 10, 1921 in Ellis County, Kansas to Andrew and Adeline (Rupp) Rupp. She was married to Ben VonLintel who preceded her in death in 1985.

Blanche was a long time Hair Stylist owning her first salon at the age of 18 and continued her 50 year career until her retirement from Blanche's. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the daughters of Isabella. Blanche had a particular fondness for dogs.

She is survived by two sons, William VonLintel and wife Laura of Hays and John VonLintel and wife Robie of Florida; five grandchildren, Amy and Megan VonLintel, Ben and Nick VonLintel and Jacob VonLintel and wife Joanne of Hays; five great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marq Rupp of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dr. Thomas VonLintel; infant daughter, Gloria VonLintel; a grandson, J.T. VonLintel and brothers, Mike, Francis, Hank and Marvin Rupp.

Family services will be 11:30 AM Friday, October 2, 2020 at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Blanche VonLintel

Caterina “Rina” Amoruso was born in Naples, Italy on January 21, 1922 to John Giovanni and Carolina Amoruso. Rina spent many hard years growing up and surviving during WWII.

Rina married Jess Clarence Miller on July 11, 1945 in Naples, Italy. Rina was an Italian war bride.

After Rina and infant son David arrived in the USA on June 17, 1946, she took up residency as a farm wife in Bazine, KS alongside her husband Jess Clarence Miller.&nbsp; Rina found she loved farming and enjoyed “playing in the dirt” and helping things grow.&nbsp; Rina loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She also loved all those who lived around her both on the farm and in town. Rina and Jess taught their children and grandchildren to be good people and hard workers.

To the marriage of Jesse and Rina Miller was born David Richard Miller (Deceased) Virginia Fay Depperschmidt, and husband Leo, Edna Kay Ayres, Linda Lou Denning, Marlene Jean Winter and husband Roland, and Julie Jane Tejeda and husband Eddie.

Rina is preceded in death by her husband on January 27, 1998; her parents John and Caroline; brothers Benidetto Amoruso, Pasquale Amoruso, and Nicolo Amoruso; and her sister Nietta Delauro.&nbsp;

Rina is survived by the above mentioned; children and spouses. She was a loving Grandmother to Trina Coast, Lori Strasser, Jason Herl, Jared Herl (Megan), Jesse Denning (Jennifer), Molly Gauger (Josh), Rolland Winter, Joey Roth (Matt), Julianna Montgomery (Brian), and Megan Coleman (Jesse), Lana Kirkley (Martin).

Each year in the fall Frannie Miller, Pesticide training and IPM coordinator, plans trainings and looks forward to seeing applicators from across the state as they attend these commercial recertification training programs. This year will look a lot different in terms of training opportunities. Due to the ever presence of Covid, the Kansas State Pesticide Safety Program will be hosting virtual training opportunities through zoom. This will allow the applicator to obtain pest management credits from the safety of his or her home or office. Some applicators may feel they are technologically challenged, but don’t let that keep you from trying a new way of learning. The team is here to help you every step of the way!

BOOR: Pesticide training programs begin this month

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -&nbsp;The MIAA CEO Council met on Wednesday, September 30 to discuss a number of items in regard to fall sports to be conducted in the spring of 2021 and the start of the 2020-2021 winter sports season.

The MIAA will not develop a formal football schedule or conduct a cross country championship this academic year, and it will not crown a champion in either sport. MIAA football programs will be permitted to set up no more than four joint practices, scrimmages, or games with outside competition or other MIAA members this spring as each member institution deems appropriate for its program. As a result of this action, a few MIAA schools have decided to pursue limited independent schedules in both sports this fall. These independent events are non-conference contests as permitted per NCAA regulations.

The CEO Council was also updated on the Association’s Athletics Administrators Committee (AAC) review of possible formal 2021 spring seasons for volleyball and women’s soccer. At the current time, and based on current health and testing conditions, it is the intent of the MIAA to offer sport seasons this spring for MIAA schools to compete against each other, and possibly non-conference opponents, in the sports of volleyball and women’s soccer.&nbsp; Issues concerning the season structure, team schedules, conference awards and statistics, spring tournaments, and other sport issues will continue to be discussed by each sport’s MIAA Monitoring Group.

With regards to the men’s and women’s basketball season, the group had discussions about the recently released&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ncaa.org/sport-science-institute/core-principles-resocialization-collegiate-basketball">NCAA Sports Science Institute’s Core Principles of Resocialization of Collegiate Basketball.</a>&nbsp;The CEO Council noted concerns about the document’s new testing recommendations and travel considerations for men’s and women’s basketball and it agreed to continue to monitor NCAA, CDC, and local government guidance on testing protocols and resources. At the present time, MIAA schools are planning to begin the college basketball season as scheduled on October 15 with games scheduled to tip-off on November 18 and 19.&nbsp;

The sports of men’s and women’s indoor track and field and wrestling were also discussed and the CEO Council agreed to provide institutional discretion with the start of each sport. The group noted that with no formal MIAA indoor track and field and wrestling schedules, each institution can determine the start date for those sports.

MIAA announces start date for winter sports, fall sports schedules in the spring

TOPEKA – The Kansas State High School Activities Association
has released Sub-State Volleyball assignments for 2020 on Thursday.

Due to COVID-19, there will be some changes for the 2020
season.

• There are 7 volleyball classifications in 2020 – 6A, 5A,
4A, 3A, 2A, 1ADI, 1ADII. • All sub-states groups were done geographically. This
change in classes 6A, 5A, and 4A was an attempt to keep travel to a minimum as
best possible. • The winners of all sub-states will play in a quarterfinal
match on Tuesday, October 27. The winner of this 3 out of 5 set match will
advance to their classifications state tournament. • State tournaments will be
conducted on one day with each team playing 5 matches. State Tournaments for
6A, 4A, 2A will be played on Friday, October 30. Classes 5A, 3A, 1ADI and 1ADII
will conduct their tournament on Saturday, October 31.

Seeding for all Sub-State tournaments will take place on
Wednesday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m.

All Sub-State Tournament matches will be held on Saturday, October
24th.

• Number of schools = 6A (34); 5A (33); 4A (36); 3A (64); 2A
*(67); 1ADI (52); 1ADII (51) • 2A * = 3 cooperative agreements in 1A move those
schools to class 2A • 56 Sub-State Tournaments will be conducted across the
state (8 per class). • Tournaments in classes 6A, 5A, 4A, 1ADI, 1ADII will be
conducted on one court. • Tournaments in classes 3A and 2A will be played using
2 courts. • Each sub-state tournament will be numbered 1-8. • Sub-State results
will be posted on the KSHSAA website Saturday PM, October 24.

State Quarterfinal matches will take place Tuesday, October
27th.

• Quarterfinal match participants will be posted on the

TOPEKA – The Kansas State High School Activities Association
has released Sub-State Volleyball assignments for 2020 on Thursday.Due to COVID-19, there will be some changes for the 2020
season.• There are 7 volleyball classifications in 2020 – 6A, 5A,
4A, 3A, 2A, 1ADI, 1ADII. • All sub-states groups were done geographically. This
change in classes 6A, 5A, and 4A was an attempt to keep travel to a minimum as
best possible. • The winners of all sub-states will play in a quarterfinal
match on Tuesday, October 27. The winner of this 3 out of 5 set match will
advance to their classifications state tournament. • State tournaments will be
conducted on one day with each team playing 5 matches. State Tournaments for
6A, 4A, 2A will be played on Friday, October 30. Classes 5A, 3A, 1ADI and 1ADII
will conduct their tournament on Saturday, October 31.Seeding for all Sub-State tournaments will take place on

Steven James Jacobus Jr., age 58, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at the Southwest Regional Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.  He was born on May 7, 1962, in Tribune, Kansas, the son of Steven James Jacobus, Sr. and Louise May Russell.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and worked as a newspaper delivery and a CNA.

Tracy Julianna Frank, 66, passed away on September 29, 2020, at the 
Ness County Hospital in Ness City, Kansas. She was born on June 22, 1954,&nbsp; in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the daughter of Charles and Sandra (Abbott) 
Wold.

She was a Certified Nurse's Aide and had worked at Cedar Village 
Nursing Home. Tracy had also worked at the Derrick Inn for a number of 
years. She was an avid bowler and had been on bowling teams most of her 
life. Tracy was also an active member of the Frank Stull Post 152, 
American Legion Auxiliary. She married Timothy Frank in Ness City Kansas
 in 2003.

Tracy is survived by her husband, Tim Frank of Ness City, a brother, 
Ron Kreitman of Columbus, NE; two sisters, Teresa Esquibel of 
Albuquerque and Phyllis Ficher of Brighton, Colorado; three daughters 
and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in 
death by her parents, Charles Wold and Sandra Kreitman; daughter, Angela
 Pride and two brothers, Charles and Dennis Wold.

Vigil service will be on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. followed by visitation at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

Gladys Marie Moore, 95, Hays, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at HaysMed.

She was born January 25, 1925 in 
Munjor, the daughter of Henry A.&nbsp; and Clara (Pfannenstiel) Meier.&nbsp; On 
August 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to Millard Moore at St. 
Joseph Church, and they celebrated 74 years of marriage.&nbsp; Her 
memberships included St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar 
Society, the Hays Medical Center Auxiliary, and the Good Hope 4-H Club.&nbsp;
 Gladys was a wonderful homemaker and farmwife who did canning, made 
homemade candy, baked bread, and enjoyed baking.&nbsp; She made everything a 
celebration, was hardworking, a good listener, had a fun sense of humor,
 and enjoyed traveling.&nbsp; She was a talented seamstress, embroidered, and
 most of all, loved her life, husband, and family.

Survivors include her husband Millard, 
of the home in Hays, two sons; Orville Moore and wife Janel and Alan 
Moore and wife Lori, all of Hays, four daughters; Gwen Staab and husband
 Norman of Overland Park, Jeanette Weigel and husband Bob of WaKeeney, 
Shirley Bollig of Hays, and Joyce Moore and partner Jill Collins of 
Overland Park, a brother; Ernie Meier of Hays, four sisters; Louise 
Staab of Hays, Berdy Herrman of Great Bend, Rosie Schmidt of Hays, and 
Leota Legleiter of Great Bend, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren,
 and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 
parents, four brothers; Ralph, Walter, Robert, and her twin Milton 
Meier, and a sister Justina “Tina” Ross.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 
10:00 am on Monday, October 5, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with 
Fr. Joshua Werth officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Ft. Hays Memorial 
Gardens.&nbsp; Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Sunday and from 
9:00 am until 9:45 on Monday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.&nbsp;

HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State baseball team will wrap up its fall season with the Fall World Series at Larks Park. The Black and Gold teams will compete in a series consisting of seven intrasquad scrimmages&nbsp;beginning Friday, October 2 at 6 p.m. Team rosters and the full series schedule can be found below.

Fans in attendance will be required to adhere to all&nbsp;<a href="https://www.fhsu.edu/covid-19-response/visitors">FHSU&nbsp;health and safety expectations</a>, including but not limited to facial coverings when appropriate, social distancing,&nbsp;hygiene, self-monitoring and symptom checking.

In addition, fans are asked to bring at least one&nbsp;canned food item as price of admission. All items collected will then be donated to a local food bank. Concessions will not be available during any of the Fall World Series contests.

 John (Jack) &amp; Charlette Holt on October 6th, 1960, in Kansas City, 
MO and grew up in Great Bend, KS. In 1973 he met the love of his life, 
Tammy (Spray) Holt, who moved in across the street. On January 8th, 
1983, in Great Bend, Bob and Tammy got married after a decade of 
friendship.

Bob was a 1979 graduate of Great Bend High School and earned his B.S.
 in Business Administration from the University of Kansas in 1983, where
 he was a proud member of Delta Upsilon fraternity. After college, Bob 
&amp; Tammy moved to Omaha, NE where he took a job as an estimator for 
AC&amp;S Construction.

In 1985 he was offered a job at Venture Corporation, and the young 
couple were excited to move back to their hometown of Great Bend. During
 his 30 years at Venture he was active on several committees with the 
Kansas Contractors Association. Bob served as Venture Corporation’s 
Secretary &amp; Estimator until his retirement in May of 2015. His 
involvement included; Action Auction (Chairman, 1998-2006), Public 
Relations (1998), Kansas Good Roads (Director), Convention Committee 
(1999-2015), Legislative Committee (2001-2015), Education Foundation 
(2008-2015), Summer Fest (Chairman, 2010-2013) and Flexible Paving 
Division (Chairman, 2012). Outside of his work involvement, he was a 
member of; CKMC Board of Directors, Past President and member of St. 
Patrick’s School Board, Prince of Peace Parish, having served on the 
Property Commission, and Board of Directors of Lakota HOA (Winter Park, 
CO).

His passions in life were his faith, family, friends, golf, KU 
basketball, and Polaris off-roading throughout the Rocky Mountains and 
Moab. Even after being diagnosed with cancer, he refused to lose his 
passion for life. Through his fight, he acted as a living example of how
 important our brief time is on this earth. He continued to establish 
and build relationships, leaving lasting impressions on those whose 
paths’ he crossed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Tammy, and their three sons: 
Brett (Leslie) Holt &amp; his granddaughter Landreigh, Brad (Jordan) 
Holt, and Allan Holt. Also, his mother, Charlette Holt and 4 siblings: 
John (Suzy) Holt, Beth (Paul) Jantsch, Tom (Mindy) Holt, and Mary (Vic) 
Adamle. As well has his mother-in-law, Doris Spray, and two 
brothers-in-law, Kip (Kelly) Spray and Chris (Julie) Spray. Bob was also
 an amazing uncle to his 16 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death 
by his father, John (Jack) Holt, his father-in-law, Orville (Butch) 
Spray.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at 
St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore 
presiding.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery North.&nbsp; A 
Rosary will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at Bryant Funeral 
Home. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Fund at Golden Belt 
Community Foundation, Prince of Peace Parish, and Golden Belt Home 
Health &amp; Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.

Robert 'Bob' James Holt

Lidwina "Lydia" Denning was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Wasinger) Richmeier. She was born April 26, 1921, in St. Peter, Kansas, and passed away peacefully at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on September 29, 2020, at the age of 99.

Lydia attended the St. Peter Grade School.  On June 17, 1941, she married George Denning in St. Peter.  They made their home in Wakeeney and Logan, Kansas, before moving to Norton in 1968.  Lydia was a homemaker where she and George enjoyed raising their family of four children.  Lydia was also proud of her accomplishment in obtaining her GED.  Her loving husband, George, passed away July 20, 2007.  Lydia continued to live in their home before moving to the Bieber apartments and later moved into the Andbe Home.

Lydia was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and in the ladies auxiliary.  She also was a gifted quilter.

Survivors include:  four children, JoAnn Durbin, Hazel Park, Michigan; Francis (Sherry) Denning, Salina, Kansas; Steve Denning, Red Hill, New Mexico; and Cindy (Steve) Shinners, Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Richmeier, Denver, Colorado; Gerald Richmeier, Grand Junction, Colorado; Ronald Richmeier, Aurora, Colorado; two sisters, Armella Ashworth, Kansas City, Kansas; and Frances Nimz, Wakeeney, Kansas; other relatives and friends.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Ben Richmeier and four sisters, Julia Scheck, Helen Knoll, Barbara Malsom and Mary Spies.

Phillipsburg resident Dale L. Henry passed away Monday, September 
28, 2020, at the Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg, at the age of 
82.

Dale was born February 4, 1938, in Greensburg, Indiana the son of Walter J. and Eva (Shoopman) Henry.&nbsp; He was an US Army veteran.

Survivors include his four girls, Peggy Littrell and husband Gary, 
Vicky Lind and husband Steve, Jeannette Patterson all of Phillipsburg 
and Nancy Muck and husband Terry of Gaylord; 8 grandchildren; 17 great 
grandchildren; and two brothers, Jessie Henry and wife Kay of 
Zephyrhills, Fl and Alvin Henry and wife Virginia of Sealy, Tx.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 in
 the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.&nbsp; Services will be
