TOPEKA, Kansas. – Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of Lansing Correctional Facility&nbsp; resident Fred Patterson III. 

He died Sunday at the prison, according to a media release from the Department of Corrections. The apparent cause of death is homicide and is pending the results of an independent autopsy.

Per protocol, when a resident dies in the custody of the KDOC, the death is under investigation by the KDOC and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.&nbsp;

Patterson, 56, violated his parole and was admitted to the facility on May 24, 2022. His underlying offenses are from Douglas County for one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child greater than 14 and less than 16 years of age, and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child less than 14 years of age.

He had been a registered as a sex offender since October of 2012, according to the KBI Offender Registry.

Sherry Eyvonne Smolik, 61, passed away August 4, 2022, at the 
University Of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus, Great Bend, 
Kan.&nbsp; She was born October 20, 1960, in Heizer to Manuel and Claudia 
(Piland) Biles.&nbsp; Sherry married Tom Smolik in 1978 in Great Bend.&nbsp; They 
later divorced, but maintained their friendship.&nbsp;

A longtime Heizer resident, Sherry also resided in Oklahoma where she
 worked as an RN and taught within the nursing program at OSU from 1988 
to 1998. She was a faithful member of the Church of God and was an 
accomplished artist and poet.&nbsp; Sherry treasured time with her family, 
and having a servant's heart, never hesitated to lend a hand to a friend
 or family member in need.

Survivors include, her daughter, Heather Ramirez and husband Anthony 
of Great Bend; five sisters, Brenda Johnson of Albuquerque, NM, Lavonna 
Lick and husband Jerald of Peoria, Ariz., Susan Hartsell and husband 
Richard of Wagoner, Okla., Karla Biles of Great Bend, and Rhonda Suppes 
and husband Richard of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Paula Biles of Great 
Bend; and five grandchildren, Anthony R. Ramirez, Zae Ramirez, Deziree 
Smith, Destiny Sanchez, Mahala Sanchez.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by 
her parents; her son, Chris Smolik; brother, Robert Biles; and a 
brother-in-law, Bob Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 
at Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Ogle presiding.&nbsp; Interment will

Sherry Eyvonne Smolik

Mary Anne McMurry, 89, passed away from this earth on July 27, 2022,&nbsp; at the Grisell Memorial Hospital in Ransom, Kansas. Mary Anne was born 
October 10, 1932, to Clyde and Martha (Jaehde) Willour. She was named 
after her mother's twin sister Mary and her mother's other sister Ann.

She had an eye for beautiful things and she worked for many years as 
an interior decorator. She was an accomplished seamstress and it should 
be noted that during her college years she was the fastest typist in the
 state of Kansas! She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. On July 25, 
1951 she married the handsome Dr. Charles Stewart McMurry, Jr. The 
McMurry family was known in that area during that era because of Dr C.S.
 McMurry, Sr. who according to Mary Anne delivered upwards of 2,500 
babies. Sadly, on April 1, 1961, Mary Anne's young husband died. She was 
bereft, a widow with three young children. Mary Anne chose to channel 
her grief into a willingness to move forward and be positive and because
 of her faith in Jesus Christ, the love &amp; support of friends and 
family and her own resilience she endorsed the idea that a good attitude
 in spite of sorrow was the way to live. In 1965 Mary Anne established 
the New Haven Methodist Daycare in Tulsa and it is still in operation 
today. As a single Mother she raised her three children lovingly during 
the tumultuous 1960s-1970s and did her best to steer a safe course for 
her children. She lived for 50 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before returning
 home to Ransom in 2006. It is worthy of thought that Mary Anne's first 
and final chapters of life took place in Ransom, Kansas. She enjoyed 
reconnecting with her hometown community and living closer to her 
younger brother Randy and his wife Kathy.

She was known affectionately as "Mimi" by her grandchildren, 
great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Among her many fine 
qualities she was a wonderful cook and talented gardener. Mimi always 
put her heart into the things she enjoyed and she was a family historian
 who made many detailed scrapbooks outlining what she had observed and 
learned. She was a wealth of information.&nbsp; Additionally, Mary Anne's 
family and friends all enjoyed her handwritten letters, she wrote 
beautifully from the heart with lovely handwriting. In later years her 
eyesight didn't allow for continued correspondence or letter writing and
 her family saw that a joyful part of life was gone, Mary Anne; however,
 never complained and instead redoubled her efforts to petition the Lord
 in prayer for her family and friends. She was indeed a prayer warrior: a
 happy warrior at that! &nbsp;She had a distinct and beautiful singing voice 
and a large vocabulary, enjoyed reading books and was never timid about 
sharing her opinion or viewpoint but did so with dignity and grace. From
 time to time she would get a smile on her face and let you know she had
 a "Bee in her bonnet" about some project she wanted to pursue. Mimi is 
remembered for a habit of "humming" and it was always a cheerful tune.

Our loving and lovely Mimi &amp; Mary Anne has gone on to be with her
 savior whom she so loved and while we will miss her and her many 
wonderful qualities we are assured of her salvation and look forward to 
seeing her again. "Au Revoir" translated as "We'll see you again" is 
fitting for her departure.

Orville Lewis Monroe, 87, passed away August 3, 2022, at Country 
Place Senior Living in Hoisington. He was born October 24, 1934, in 
Geneseo to John &amp; Amanda (Brandon) Monroe. He married Betty Jean 
Moulton and they later divorced. He then married Jacquelyn “Jackie” 
(Brack) Eulert on April 14, 1976, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A longtime area resident, Orville started his career in the oilfield 
with Raymond Oil right out of high school. He then went on as the 
production supervisor for Clinton Oil, K&amp;E Drilling, Energy Reserve 
and the Sterling Oil Company. &nbsp;Orville then left the corporate world and
 started his own oil production business, Big O, LLC. He was a member of
 the men's coffee group and a former member of the American Legion Post 
#180. Orville served in the United States Army during the Korean 
Conflict, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.

Survivors include, his wife Jackie of the home; his children, Janelle
 “Jenny” (Monroe) Hejny and husband Daniel of McCamey, Tex., Eileen 
(Monroe) Wilkinson and husband Bobby of Denison, Tex.,&nbsp; Melissa (Eulert)
 Dickson and husband Tim of Ellinwood, John Eulert of San Diego, Calif. 
and Bret Eulert (Connie Weber) of Great Bend; eight grandchildren, 
Rachael Dickson, Jeremy Hejny (Shannon), J.D. Hejny (Whitney), Jessica 
Brooks (Ron), Christen Cory, Amanda Robbins (Rocky), Josh Cory and Tony 
Hammond; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great great 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, 
Raymond Monroe, John Monroe, Jr., Francis Monroe and Bruce Monroe; and

The Poet Laureate of Kansas is an honorary position designed to promote the reading and writing of poetry throughout the state and is sponsored through the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC). The current Kansas Poet Laureate is Huascar Medina, a poet, writer, and performer based in Topeka.&nbsp;

“By preserving the legacy of the generations that came before us, inspiring artists of the future, and driving community and economic development, the Kansas Poet Laureate program is a shining example of the value of supporting local and statewide arts,”&nbsp;said Governor Kelly. “I encourage poets across the state to apply to be the eighth Poet Laureate of Kansas.”&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Kansas Poet Laureate will serve a term of four years beginning January 1, 2023, and will contribute to the growth and awareness of poetry by presenting their own work and the work of others at public events, readings, workshops, and lectures throughout the state.&nbsp;

Gov. announces applications open for next Poet Laureate of Kansas

A former Ellis County District Court Administrator was charged with nine counts of felony identity fraud after allegedly using electronic signatures to sign performance evaluations for court staff, according to the charging affidavit, which was released Wednesday.

According to the affidavit, Amanda Marie Truan's alleged use of the electronic signatures was discovered during an Office of Judicial Administration audit in October. 

Truan is no longer an employee of the judicial district.

The employees were not aware nor did they authorize the submission of the evaluations or the use of their electronic signatures on the evaluation, according to the affidavit.

Kayla Acosta, who became the Ellis County District Court Clerk in May 2021, told investigators she did not recall having an evaluation since 2018.

The employee evaluations are used as performance indicators for each employee by the Office of Judicial Administration. The employee's evaluation has a direct effect on the employee's job and whether the employee will receive any type of wage enhancements or promotions. 

Each count of identity fraud is punishable by up to 23 months in prison and/or up to a $100,000 fine.

The case is being prosecuted by the Kansas Attorney General's Office.

Truan
 has bonded out of jail and is scheduled to appear in court for a status
 conference at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in Ellis County District Court.

James McGinness Jr., 80, entered his eternal rest on August 1, 2022,&nbsp; at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.&nbsp; He was born on October 9, 1941,&nbsp; at Ava, MO to James and Bessie (Phillips) McGinness.&nbsp; He married Sharon
 Lloyd-May, on December 25, 1975, at Tribune, KS.

A Larned resident since 1981, coming from Great Bend, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned.

He was a devoted husband and father.&nbsp; The happiest moments of his 
life were spent with his family, and his children and grandchildren were
 his pride and joy.&nbsp; He cherished his four-legged “children”, Max, Coco,
 and Keesha.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan McGinness; his parents; two 
brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl (Cheryl) McGinness and Claude (Gloria)
 McGinness; a sister and brother-in-law, Judith (Harlan) Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; his son, Tim McGinness;

WASHINGTON (AP) — Back on the White House balcony and in the Treaty Room as President Joe Biden&nbsp; contends with a “rebound” case of COVID-19. He tested positive again Tuesday, according to the White House.

Trapped in the White House for the second time in as many weeks, the president knows the drill this time: He’s got an office in the residence and his dog Commander to keep him company while he governs by Zoom and FaceTime.

Biden’s latest bout with COVID-19 came with a new wrinkle: how to announce a major counterterrorism operation in Afghanistan from isolation.

Biden, dressed in a dark suit and red tie, walked to a lectern that had been wheeled onto the balcony of the Blue Room on Monday evening and informed the American people of the killing of Ayman al-Zawahri, the top al-Qaida leader, in a U.S. strike in Afghanistan over the weekend.

The White House allowed just one print reporter to watch Biden deliver his speech, by looking through a window in the adjacent Red Room. A TV cameraman filmed the president and a still photographer took photos — a smaller footprint than the group of journalists that is usually at the president’s appearances.

Biden’s initial COVID-19 diagnosis left him with a lingering cough and runny nose, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. His rebound case — labeled such because he tested positive on Saturday just three days after being cleared from isolation with two negative tests last Tuesday and Wednesday — has left him antsy about returning to a normal schedule.

Biden’s rebound disrupted a trip home to Wilmington, Delaware, to reunite with first lady Jill Biden, who has been there since Biden’s initial diagnosis. A trip Tuesday to Michigan to promote a $280 billion high-tech manufacturing bill he intends to sign was also scuttled.

Instead, Biden is stuck in COVID-19 isolation through at least Thursday, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, and perhaps longer under the White House’s stricter protocols, which require a negative test to return to work.

“He’s someone who likes to be out there with the American people,” said Jean-Pierre on Monday. “He’s looking forward to being out there again.”

White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor said in a Tuesday letter that the president “continues to feel well, though experiencing a return of a loose cough."

Shortly after Saturday’s announcement that he was returning to isolation, the president tweeted a picture of himself masked, tieless and signing a declaration that added individual assistance for flood survivors in Kentucky.

He followed up by tweeting a 12-second video of himself on a White House balcony with Commander.

“I’m feeling fine, everything is good,” said Biden, a pair of aviator sunglasses in his hand. “But Commander and I got a little work to do.”

Minutes later, he called Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough on FaceTime as he visited with people camping outside the U.S. Capitol in a bid for health benefits for military veterans exposed to toxic substances from burn pits during their service.

Biden tweeted that he had planned to visit the group in person on&nbsp; before he tested positive again, but instead sent McDonough with a delivery of pizza. He invited the advocates to the White House once he’s cleared by his doctors to receive visitors.

“It doesn’t stop him from doing his job and doing the work of the American people,” Jean-Pierre said of the president’s rebound infection.

During his course of isolation, Biden told reporters that his canine companion served as his alarm clock while the first lady was away.

“Matter of fact, my dog had to wake me up this morning,” he said last Tuesday. “My wife’s not here. She usually takes him out in the morning while I’m upstairs working out. And so, I felt this nuzzle of my dog’s nose against my chest about five minutes to seven.”

Biden has been working from the ornate second-floor Treaty Room or stepping onto the adjacent Truman Balcony overlooking the South Grounds and the Washington Monument.

A limited number of essential staff are with him in the residence, including security and medical personnel and a small number of aides, who remain masked for their protection. Biden’s usual in-person meetings, including his daily national security briefing, have shifted to virtual formats.

Plans for enabling a president to work in isolation were first developed when then-President Donald Trump tested positive for COVID-19 in October 2020, which required him to be admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. As the highly infectious omicron variant spread and cases closed in around Biden, his administration refined plans for Biden to carry out his duties while isolating at the White House, according to two aides.

Biden, 79, was treated with the antiviral drug Paxlovid after he first tested positive on July 21. He tested negative for the virus&nbsp;

White House doctor: Biden still positive for COVID, cough returns

Rita Louise Welle, age 100, of&nbsp;Goodland, Kansas&nbsp;passed away Friday, 
July 29, 2022, at Richmond Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in 
Richmond, Kansas.&nbsp;

Rita Welle, daughter of James and Bessie (Hess) Sponsel, was born in 
Sherman County Kansas on October 19, 1921.&nbsp; When she was three months 
old, her parents moved to Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.&nbsp; They lived there 
for nine years.&nbsp; Her mother died when Rita was seven years old putting a
 strain on the family.&nbsp; It was decided that her dad should place her and
 two of the sisters in the Abilene Boarding School.&nbsp; She was there 
through the eighth grade, which was as long as they kept them at that 
time.&nbsp; From there, she returned to Cheyenne Wells where she lived with 
her sister, Frances where she attended high school.

She was married on June 25,1939 to Harold Welle.&nbsp; They lived on a 
farm at Arapahoe, Colorado&nbsp; where they farmed and ranched.&nbsp; They 
weathered many storms, drought and hail. In 1953 they were forced to 
sell all of the cattle due to a severe drought.&nbsp; Vowing to not have to 
do this again, they put in the first registered&nbsp;irrigation well in 
Cheyenne County, it showed what water could do.

In 1963 they sold the farm to retire, but soon&nbsp; bought The Trail In 
Motel in Cheyenne Wells. They ran it for 9 years and then sold it to try
 to retire a little longer this time.&nbsp; They purchased a motorhome&nbsp;and 
travelled through 49 states, Mexico, Canada and 5 European countries.

After Harold's passing, she moved to Goodland in 1990 to be closer to
 some of her sisters.&nbsp; She worked at&nbsp;Carnegie Arts and Red Cross.&nbsp; Rita 
spent her spare time playing cards, crocheting, reading and going around
 the area playing bingo.

She spent several years in the Goodland Nursing home after becoming 
unable to live alone in her house.&nbsp; She spent about a month in the 
Richmond Nursing home in Richmond Kansas where she passed away.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 infant daughters, her&nbsp; 
parents, brother Bud Sponsel, and sisters&nbsp;Frances Pilger, Mertle 
Vinduski, Blanche Beltch, Veronica Pilcher, Opal Ihrig, and Teresa 
Schreivogel.

She leaves to mourn her son, Linden Welle and his wife Marcene 
(Wolfe) of Fort Morgan Colorado, daughter Rose Welle (Woods) of Richmond
 Kansas, 3 grandchildren, Darrin Welle and wife Ricelle of Morgan 
Heights California, Janna Baker (Welle) and husband Doug of Wray 
Colorado and Verle Welle and wife Rhonda of Osawatomie Kansas, 5 great 
grandchildren, Brock Welle of Osawatomie Kansas, Jordan Welle (wife 
Kimberly) of Wellsville Kansas, Toya Welle of Washburn Iowa,&nbsp; Tonya 
(husband Donnie) Welch and Mark Baker in the US Navy, and 8 great great 
grandchildren, Jaden Welch, Karson Welch, Kaysen Welch, Tristan Welch, 
Zachary Welle, Adalynn Welle, Ryliegh Welle, Skylar Welle, and many more
 friends and relatives.

 strain on the family.&nbsp; It was decided that her dad should place her and
 two of the sisters in the Abilene Boarding School.&nbsp; She was there 
through the eighth grade, which was as long as they kept them at that 
time.&nbsp; From there, she returned to Cheyenne Wells where she lived with 
her sister, Frances where she attended high school.She was married on June 25,1939 to Harold Welle.&nbsp; They lived on a 
farm at Arapahoe, Colorado&nbsp; where they farmed and ranched.&nbsp; They 
weathered many storms, drought and hail. In 1953 they were forced to 
sell all of the cattle due to a severe drought.&nbsp; Vowing to not have to 
do this again, they put in the first registered&nbsp;irrigation well in 
Cheyenne County, it showed what water could do.In 1963 they sold the farm to retire, but soon&nbsp; bought The Trail In 
Motel in Cheyenne Wells. They ran it for 9 years and then sold it to try
 to retire a little longer this time.&nbsp; They purchased a motorhome&nbsp;and 
travelled through 49 states, Mexico, Canada and 5 European countries.After Harold's passing, she moved to Goodland in 1990 to be closer to
 some of her sisters.&nbsp; She worked at&nbsp;Carnegie Arts and Red Cross.&nbsp; Rita 
spent her spare time playing cards, crocheting, reading and going around
 the area playing bingo.She spent several years in the Goodland Nursing home after becoming 
unable to live alone in her house.&nbsp; She spent about a month in the 
Richmond Nursing home in Richmond Kansas where she passed away.She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 infant daughters, her&nbsp; 
parents, brother Bud Sponsel, and sisters&nbsp;Frances Pilger, Mertle 
Vinduski, Blanche Beltch, Veronica Pilcher, Opal Ihrig, and Teresa 
Schreivogel.She leaves to mourn her son, Linden Welle and his wife Marcene 
(Wolfe) of Fort Morgan Colorado, daughter Rose Welle (Woods) of Richmond
 Kansas, 3 grandchildren, Darrin Welle and wife Ricelle of Morgan 
Heights California, Janna Baker (Welle) and husband Doug of Wray 
Colorado and Verle Welle and wife Rhonda of Osawatomie Kansas, 5 great 
grandchildren, Brock Welle of Osawatomie Kansas, Jordan Welle (wife 
Kimberly) of Wellsville Kansas, Toya Welle of Washburn Iowa,&nbsp; Tonya 
(husband Donnie) Welch and Mark Baker in the US Navy, and 8 great great 
grandchildren, Jaden Welch, Karson Welch, Kaysen Welch, Tristan Welch,

Rita Louise Welle

On July 31, 2022, Harry Zaborski, of Colby, formerly of Goodland, 
entered into eternal rest at the age of 99 years old. Harry led a joyful
 life filled with faith, family and an unquenchable love of the 
outdoors. He was born September 11, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and 
Lottie and the oldest son of six siblings. He attended Nativity Catholic
 School. The effects of the Depression made employment scarce, and Harry
 needed to help support his family. At the age of 15 he joined Civilian 
Conservation Corp, which provided work under President Franklin 
Roosevelt. 
His unit was deployed to the mountains of Montana joining the many young
 men from all over the county to replenish the millions of trees in the 
forest lands made barren from fires and lumbering. Harry often talks of 
this experience as having a major influence on his life surrounded by 
the beauty of “Mother Earth.” 
After two years in Montana, Harry returned to his family in Ohio where 
he found work at Willey’s Overland on an assembly line building Jeeps 
for our military’s use overseas. It was here that Harry met his future 
bride, Miss Helen Bitker. 
During this time, World War II was raging overseas and in 1943, Harry, 
along with five of his best pals, enlisted in the United States Army. 
Due to his prior experience at Willey’s Overland, Harry was assigned to 
be a mechanic for the military’s wheeled vehicles with a rank of CPL/T5.
 During his deployment, he served in Normandy, France, the Ardennes, 
Belgium, and Rhineland, Germany. He never spoke of the horrific battles 
and war experience keeping those dark memories and scars hidden, other 
than to say that he would never forget his five closest friends who did 
not make it home. 
Upon discharge, Harry and Helen were married on October 27, 1945, in 
Aberdeen, Maryland, settling back in Toledo, Ohio. Longing for the 
mountains of his youth, Harry and his family eventually relocated to 
Denver, Colorado where he made his living as an electrical and 
maintenance supervisor for the Public Service Company of Colorado. He 
enjoyed golfing and fishing trips with the family in the Rocky 
Mountains. 
Harry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, which sponsored many 
activities at St. Clara’s Orphanage. Harry and Helen always looked 
forward to inviting 2 or 3 children from the orphanage to spend the 
holidays with their family. 
Upon retirement, the couple moved to Brewster, KS. After 38 years of 
marriage, the couple separated, but because of their faith, never 
divorced. Harry moved to Goodland to be close to his daughter Judy and 
her family. He was always busy volunteering at OLPH Catholic Church, 
building birdhouses, biking, fishing, golfing and bird watching. He 
enjoyed drawing pictures, scrapbooking and telling stories. He had a 
tremendous imagination that entertained the grandkids with silliness and
 laughter. 
He never met a stranger and was appreciative of all the kindhearted 
folks of Sherman County who would always take time to stop and visit 
with “this old grandpa Poppi,” while pedaling around town. Eventually, 
moving to Prairie Senior Living complex in Colby, he was very 
appreciative for the elder care under Dr. Matchell, Brian Unruh, and the
 nursing staff while enjoying the many activities provided by the 
community. 
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lottie; six 
siblings; Daniel, Helen, Doris, Christine, Alice and Gloria, of Ohio, 
wife Helen and daughter, Joanne Stephens. Survivors include daughter 
Judy (Jim) McKee, of Brewster, son-in-law Paul Stephens, of Colby, 11 
grandkids, 32 great grandkids and 4 great-great grandchildren. 
There will be a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. CST, followed by the Funeral Mass at
 10:00 a.m. CST Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, in Colby, with Father Brian Lager officiating, followed by 
interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Colby.

Roy Everett Howell, age 96, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 
the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. He was born on October 
16, 1925, in Elkhart, Kansas, to Charlie Maddison and Bessie Stewart 
Howell. He was a resident of Tribune since 1951 where he was a farmer 
and rancher and a member of the First Baptist Church and the VFW. 
Everett served on the Greeley County Extension Board, the Greeley County
 Hospital Board, and the Greeley County Farm Bureau Board. He also 
served his community as a 4-H leader, Fair supporter, and Recycling 
Center organizer.

Everett proudly served his nation as a member of the United States 
Marine Corps during World War II from January 19, 1944, to May 8, 1946.&nbsp;
 After enlisting he went to communication school.&nbsp; While in Boot Camp, 
he qualified as a Marksman on the M1 rifle.&nbsp; During this time, his first
 tour of duty was the start of the invasion of Iwo Jima.&nbsp; His job was to
 string telephone wires during his time in Japan and China.&nbsp; He was 
wounded in action while he was there.&nbsp; Everett witnessed the famous 
raising of the American flag on Mount Suribachi.&nbsp; Everett was awarded 
the Purple Heart when he was honorably discharged on May 8th, 1946.&nbsp; His
 rank upon discharge was Corporal. &nbsp; Of the 20 months he served, 6 
months of it was spent on the troopships on the sea traveling.&nbsp; As a 
result, he did not like the water.&nbsp;

On May 18, 1950, Everett married Carol Borden in Goodwell, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 16, 2007.

Survivors include his son, Danny &amp; Brittany Howell of LaCrosse, 
Kansas, his daughter, Debbie Wise of Fowler, Kansas, one 
daughter-in-law, Jamie Howell of Lenexa, Kansas,&nbsp; two sisters-in-law, 
Violet Howell of Lovington, New Mexico, Edna Howell of Mansfield, Texas,
 nine grandchildren and their spouses, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, wife, children - Everly
 &amp; Steve Oakes, Larry Howell, son-in-law - Scott Wise, and his 
siblings - Myrtle Riggs, Dora Mae Rammage, Cecil Howell, TJ Howell, and 
Jerald Howell.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2022, at 
2:00 P.M. (MST) at the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas with 
pastors Shannon Schneider and Billy Ed Rammage presiding. Service will

Roy Everett Howell

Marcella Corinne Brin,&nbsp;69, passed away on July 29, 2022, peacefully 
at her home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born on September 16, 1952, in 
Hays, Kan., to Adrian and Dorothy (Harris) Tremblay. On October 17, 
1975, Marcella married Martin Brin in Hill City, Kan. He survives.

Coming from Hill City then Bazine, Marcella was a Great Bend resident
 for the past 22 years. She worked in the Hill City School cafeteria and
 the Cable Office in Plainville, before dedicating the last 30+ years to
 being a homemaker. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at 
St. Rose of Lima. Marcella enjoyed gardening, rescuing all animals, 
fishing, working with kids and the elderly, baking and canning, but 
especially cherished her time with family.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Larry of Hays, 
Kan., and Anthony (Shannon) of Salina, Kan.; two daughters, Madeline 
(Michael) Bagley of Clovis, N.M. and Michelle (Jeff) Murphy of Solomon, 
Kan.; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, 
Leland (Debra) Tremblay; two sisters, Adrenne [Andie] (Bob) Bell and 
Carol (Jerry) Nickelson; a mother-in-law, Elaine Brin; three 
brothers-in-law, Arlen (Linda), David (Kay), and Galen Brin; two 
sisters-in-law, Sheri Webb and Mary Meade; numerous nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Services 
will be set at a later date.

at her home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born on September 16, 1952, in 
Hays, Kan., to Adrian and Dorothy (Harris) Tremblay. On October 17, 
1975, Marcella married Martin Brin in Hill City, Kan. He survives.Coming from Hill City then Bazine, Marcella was a Great Bend resident
 for the past 22 years. She worked in the Hill City School cafeteria and
 the Cable Office in Plainville, before dedicating the last 30+ years to
 being a homemaker. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at 
St. Rose of Lima. Marcella enjoyed gardening, rescuing all animals, 
fishing, working with kids and the elderly, baking and canning, but 
especially cherished her time with family.Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Larry of Hays, 
Kan., and Anthony (Shannon) of Salina, Kan.; two daughters, Madeline 
(Michael) Bagley of Clovis, N.M. and Michelle (Jeff) Murphy of Solomon, 
Kan.; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, 
Leland (Debra) Tremblay; two sisters, Adrenne [Andie] (Bob) Bell and 
Carol (Jerry) Nickelson; a mother-in-law, Elaine Brin; three 
brothers-in-law, Arlen (Linda), David (Kay), and Galen Brin; two 
sisters-in-law, Sheri Webb and Mary Meade; numerous nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law.There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Services 
will be set at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Prince of
 Peace Parish or Spiritual Bouquets, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.

DODGE CITY&nbsp;– Governor Laura Kelly continued her ‘Prosperity on the Plains’ statewide economic development tour in Dodge City Saturday, according to a media release from her office. \

She met with leaders from Nor-Am Cold Storage, a freezer and production company that opened a 148,000-square-foot Dodge City facility in October 2020. Governor Kelly and Nor-Am leaders discussed how the facility has evolved since opening, how the company partners with producers and processors like National Beef, and how the arrival of businesses like Hilmar Cheese is lifting the entire Ford County region economically.

“I’m visiting with businesses big and small across Kansas to learn how my Administration can continue our record-breaking economic success,”&nbsp;Governor Laura Kelly said.&nbsp;“It was great to return to Dodge City today to see how Nor-Am's facility has developed since I cut the ribbon on it two years ago. Thank you to Nor-Am’s leadership for taking the time to show me around one of our many successful Kansas businesses.”&nbsp;

Nor-Am Cold Storage opened its Dodge City location just three years after opening its first location in Elwood. The combined investment of the Dodge City and Elwood locations is nearly $60 million and represents 170 full-time jobs.

Mary Ann McMurry, 89, passed away on July 27, 2022, at the Grisell 
Memorial Hospital in Ransom, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born on October 10, 1932,&nbsp; in Ransom, Kansas, the daughter of Clyde and Martha (Jaehde) Willour.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 27, 2022, at Praise

Mary Ann McMurry

Leland L. Kincaid, 86, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.

He was born April 10, 1936, at Jennings, Kansas, the son of Melvin 
Russell and Wanita (Annon) Kincaid.&nbsp; He graduated from Jennings High 
School in 1954, Dodge City Community College in 1956, Fort Hays State in
 1962 and Northwestern State in Alva, Oklahoma in 1968 where he received
 his Master's in Education.&nbsp; He was in the education field for 41 years, 
the last 22 years as Principal of Sunnyside Elementary School in Dodge 
City, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City.

On October 27, 1956, he married Lorraine Faye Stegman at Sacred Heart 
Cathedral in Dodge City.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on March 19, 2018.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Jeff Kincaid and wife Susan, Windsor, 
Colorado, Chad Kincaid and wife Mary, Dodge City and Brad Kincaid and 
wife Linda, Wichita; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a 
step-sister, Charlotte Cox, Doyline, Louisiana.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; 2 step-mothers, Jane 
Kincaid and Violet Kincaid; 2 step-sisters, Lucille Foster and Dona 
Mrstick, a grandson, Mike Kincaid and a great granddaughter, Aubrey 
McNeill.

Vigil service will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the 
Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.&nbsp; Funeral Mass will be at
 10:00 am Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the church with Fr. John Stang 
presiding.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge

Thomas A. Nulton, 93, died July 23, 2022 at Locust Grove Village in 
La Crosse, Kan. He was born January 7, 1929, at Hays, Kan., the son of 
Charles and Ruby (Bourdette) Nulton.&nbsp; He married Phyllis Wikoff October 
21, 1951, in Hays. She passed away March 23, 2012.&nbsp; Mr. Nulton worked 
for Producers Gas Equities Inc. of Hays and was promoted in 1967 as the 
area superintendent of the Susank division which later became a part of 
MidWest Energy.&nbsp; Tom retired from MidWest Energy in 1994 and dedicated 
himself to pursuing his lifelong love of art.&nbsp; He was a Hoisington 
resident from 1967 until his death.

While he was a talented artist in numerous media, his passion 
became wood carving, and he created many exceptional pieces until his 
health forced him to stop. Tom loved the outdoors, wildlife and bird 
watching, hunting, fishing, and camping.&nbsp; He loved telling stories and 
had many friends who never failed to listen. Mr. Nulton was a member of 
First United Methodist Church, Hoisington.

Survivors include his sons, Rick Nulton and his wife Darlene, 
Hoisington; and Mike Nulton and his wife Susie, Fort Garland, Col.; two 
sisters, Norma Thoman and her husband Dean, Colorado Springs, Col., and 
Audrey LaRue of Hays; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 
four great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his 
parents, his wife Phyllis of 60 years, two brothers, and three sisters.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022, 
at First United Methodist Church, Hoisington, with The Rev. Daniel 
Vandenburg and the Honorable Ron Bailey presiding. There will be no 
visitation as cremation has taken place.&nbsp; Inurnment will be at a later 
date at Ft. Hays Memorial Gardens, Hays.&nbsp;

Duane Sack, 85, passed away on July 23, 2022, at Medicalodges of 
Great Bend, Great Bend, Kan. He was born on October 19, 1936, in Virgil,
 Kan., to Leroy &amp; Florence (Owens) Sack. Duane married Donis 
Lindquist and they later divorced. He later married Betty (Drake) Miller
 on October 10, 1983, in Great Bend. She died on May 28, 2022.

A Great Bend resident since 1982 coming from Bunker Hill, Duane 
worked as a pumper for Shields Oil. He was a member of the Prince of 
Peace Parish and a 50 year member Masonic Lodge in Russell, and was an 
avid golfer.

Survivors include one son, David (Laina) Sack of Phoenix, Ariz.; 
three stepchildren, Robert Miller of Shawnee, Kan., Cathy Peacock of Las
 Vegas, Nev., and Pam Finley of Great Bend, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 
fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gail Williams of Russell, 
Kan. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Debbie Sack; and a
 grandson, Wesley Turnball.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from noon to 
8:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30
 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home with Father 
Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend 
Cemetery.

Mary Doris (Zimmerman) Reitcheck, 84, passed away Thursday, July 21, 
2022, at her daughter’s home in rural Smith County, Kansas. She was born
 October 10, 1937, in a sod house in rural Sheridan County, Kansas, to 
Peter D. and Mary Edna (Slaven) Zimmerman. She graduated from Selden 
High School with the Class of 1955. On October 26, 1961, she married 
Leroy Blaise Reitcheck at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Selden, 
Kansas.
 Mary lived her entire life in Sheridan County Kansas. She was a 
lifelong devout member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and St. 
Frances Altar Society. She was also involved in her community through 
Hoxie Rotary, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) 
and the Red Hats. 
 In her younger years, she worked as a telephone operator and for the
 Sheridan County Extension Service. In 1960 she began her career at the
 Sheridan County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation 
Service/Farm Service Agency where she remained for 36 years. During her
 tenure at ASCS/FSA she became the County Executive Director in 1981. 
She was one of the first women in the state to have this title. She 
retired in November 1996. She enjoyed her mission serving the farmers 
of Sheridan County. Not one to sit still, she went on to work at The 
Country Cottage, Mahanna Pharmacy, St. Frances Catholic Church and 
Woofter Pump and Well. She finally decided at age 78 it was time to 
give up working the 9-to-5 gig. 
 In her spare time, Mary kept herself occupied by helping her husband
 Leroy on the farm, milking cows, preparing the fields, bringing in the 
crops and whatever else needed done on the farm. She continued 
assisting her son Leroy Jr. with farm work after the death of her 
husband. In addition, she filled her time through the years raising and
 harvesting a large garden which helped feed her family. Mary was also 
known for her cooking skills. She was the queen of gravy-making. Pies 
were always ready just in time for company, in addition to homemade 
candy and tea-time tassies, among other goodies. That is, unless one of 
her children found her stash ahead of time. She also kept her children 
busy at Christmastime delivering warm homemade caramel rolls to 
neighbors. 
 Mary could accomplish more in a 24-hour day than most could begin to
 think of. Her hands were never at rest. You could hear the hum of 
her sewing machine in the wee morning hours, working on matching dresses
 for her daughters that would be finished just in time for the coming 
holiday.
 Mary was a loving, caring person to those she came in contact with. 
 She always warmed your heart with a smile, even to the very end. Even 
though Mary worked at many tasks, her greatest accomplishment is the 
priceless legacy of the importance of faith and family. Her life 
revolved around both. They are what she lived and breathed for. Her 
faith was simple, she just believed. She led a life of sacrifice, 
serving her family and others. Mary lived and taught by example in 
everything she did. When her health began to fail, she always managed 
to find the strength for conversation with those around her, or to take 
several phone calls from her children in a single evening. Even though 
her mind was not always clear she never forgot her Lord, even to the end
 with prayers on her lips and a rosary in her hand surrounded by her 
family as she slipped away to her heavenly home.
 Mary is survived by her children Leroy Reitcheck Jr. and wife Julie 
of Hoxie, Kansas; daughters, Annette Wingerson and husband Steve of 
Smith Center, Kansas, Kayleen Sparks and husband Bryan of Papillion, 
Nebraska, Kimberly Schaffer and husband Troy of Wichita, Kansas, Jayne 
Turner and fiancé Craig Rose of Olathe, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 
Katelyn Reitcheck, Alexis Wright and husband Lance, Landon Wingerson, 
Sienna Wingerson, Jordan Sparks, Ian Sparks, Devin Sparks, Carter 
Schaffer, Jaxon Schaffer, Braxton Schaffer, Mia Turner, Nash Turner; 
great grandchildren Joseph Lance Wright, Jeremiah Wright, Laramie 
Wright, Laynie Wright; brother, David Zimmerman; sisters, Linda Brown 
and husband Bill of Kansas City, Kansas and Betty Scripsick and husband 
Ron of Pittsburgh, Kansas; brother-in-law Gary Reitcheck and wife Sandy;
 sisters-in-law Anna Rose Givens, Margaret Ritter, Delores Koerperich 
and a host of nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leroy; son Steven;

though Mary worked at many tasks, her greatest accomplishment is the 
priceless legacy of the importance of faith and family. Her life 
revolved around both. They are what she lived and breathed for. Her 
faith was simple, she just believed. She led a life of sacrifice, 
serving her family and others. Mary lived and taught by example in 
everything she did. When her health began to fail, she always managed 
to find the strength for conversation with those around her, or to take 
several phone calls from her children in a single evening. Even though 
her mind was not always clear she never forgot her Lord, even to the end
 with prayers on her lips and a rosary in her hand surrounded by her 
family as she slipped away to her heavenly home.
 Mary is survived by her children Leroy Reitcheck Jr. and wife Julie 
of Hoxie, Kansas; daughters, Annette Wingerson and husband Steve of 
Smith Center, Kansas, Kayleen Sparks and husband Bryan of Papillion, 
Nebraska, Kimberly Schaffer and husband Troy of Wichita, Kansas, Jayne 
Turner and fiancé Craig Rose of Olathe, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 
Katelyn Reitcheck, Alexis Wright and husband Lance, Landon Wingerson, 
Sienna Wingerson, Jordan Sparks, Ian Sparks, Devin Sparks, Carter 
Schaffer, Jaxon Schaffer, Braxton Schaffer, Mia Turner, Nash Turner; 
great grandchildren Joseph Lance Wright, Jeremiah Wright, Laramie 
Wright, Laynie Wright; brother, David Zimmerman; sisters, Linda Brown 
and husband Bill of Kansas City, Kansas and Betty Scripsick and husband 
Ron of Pittsburgh, Kansas; brother-in-law Gary Reitcheck and wife Sandy;

Carolyn Kirgis Johnson passed away July 24, 2022, at the Phillips 
County Hospital after suffering for decades with Multiple Sclerosis.&nbsp; 
She was born August 8, 1960, in Beloit, KS, the daughter of Robert &amp; 
Doris (Aronis) Kirgis.

She grew up on the farm in Mitchell County.&nbsp; She preferred being 
inside cooking while her two older sisters, Connie &amp; Catherine 
worked outside with their parents.&nbsp; She graduated from Beloit High 
School where she enjoyed being a part of all the musical activities; 
band, vocal &amp; school musicals were just a part of her busy 
schedule.&nbsp; She was a head cheerleader for the state winning Trojans 
&amp; was honored to wear the homecoming crown.

She continued her education at Colby Community College, then 
transferred to Kansas State University where she received her BA.&nbsp; She 
then selected the Salina Vocational Technical School to become a dental 
assistant for Dr. Jerry Lundgren DDS.&nbsp; She was proud to say that her 
entire college years were financed through her participation in the Miss
 America franchise system.&nbsp; She held many titles &amp; made many 
lifelong friends all over the 50 states.

In July 1985, she became Miss Kansas &amp; represented her state in 
Atlantic City, NJ.&nbsp; Her road to Miss America was aided by so many 
wonderful people that coached &amp; encouraged the Hog Farmer’s Daughter
 to Stand Proud &amp; Sing Loud!&nbsp; As her family mourns her passing their
 hearts are warmed by the outpouring of Love coming in from all 
directions.

In October of 1987, Carolyn was united in marriage to Perry Dale 
Johnson at the Salemsborg Lutheran Church in Smolan, KS.&nbsp; The welcomed 
their son, Chaddlee Dale on November 10, 1990.&nbsp; He grew up playing 
baseball just like his dad.&nbsp; The marriage was saddened by the infant 
losses of Chander Kirgis Johnson &amp; Allison Kaylinn Johnson.&nbsp; It was 
during these difficult years that Carolyn Jo was diagnosed with Multiple
 Sclerosis.&nbsp; In the early stages she was able to sing at benefits &amp; 
work for the foundation, but her health deteriorated quickly &amp; at 
the time of her passing she had been in the Phillips County Retirement 
Center over 18 years.

Left to mourn her passing is her son, Chadd Johnson of Abliene, KS; 
her mother, Doris Kirgis of Beloit, KS; sisters, Connie &amp; Jerry Cox 
of Long Island, KS &amp; Catherine &amp; Clayton Cox of Norton, KS; 9 
nieces &amp; nephews &amp; 35 great nieces &amp; nephews.&nbsp; They will be 
joining her many caring friends across the state of Kansas!

Through this loss, we’ve learned that God understands our pain. He 
doesn’t always fix it; sometimes he just sits with us &amp; lets us lean
 on him while the grief comes.&nbsp; We cling to the promise to be made whole
 once again &amp; reunited with our loved ones in Heaven!

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 1:30 
p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor 
Becky Saddler officiating.&nbsp; The service will be streamed live on the 
Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.&nbsp; A graveside service will be
 held at 4:00 p.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit.&nbsp;

N. Bryant Andrews Jr., 75, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at McPherson Health &amp; Rehab.&nbsp; He worked in the grain business and retail paint industry.

Bryant was born on August 5, 1946, in Hastings, NE, the son of Neil Bryant Andrews, Sr. and Donna Mae (Marymee) Andrews.&nbsp; He graduated high school from Hastings, NE in 1964 and attended the University of Nebraska.&nbsp; Bryant was united in marriage to Susan Holt on October 15, 1965, and this union was blessed with two sons, Todd and Tyson.&nbsp; On July 19, 1975, he married Jennifer Zuellner, and this union was blessed with three children, Selena, Kim, and Geoff.

Survivors include: four children, Todd Andrews (Kristy) of Las Vegas, NV, Selena Andrews (Ed Webb) of McPherson, KS, Kim Seib (Cody) of Hays, KS, and Geoff Andrews (Valerie) of Salina, KS; brothers, Stephen Andrews (Ann) of Montevideo, MN, Bradley Andrews of Waverly, NE, and Scott Andrews of Waverly, NE; aunt, Delores Eades of Wichita, KS; and seven grandchildren, Andrew Costello, Jonah Clarke, Elijah Clarke, Reid Andrews, Sutton Seib, Holdyn Seib, and Hudson Seib.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tyson Andrews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at East Lawn Cemetery in Bladen, NE.

HAYS, Kan. - Fort Hays State cross country/track and field
head coach Dr. Jason McCullough has announced a nationwide schedule for the
2022-23 season. The Tigers will compete in eight states across all four time
zones in the continental United States during the upcoming season.

The cross country season kicks off on September 1 at the
Terry Masterson Twilight (Hutchinson, Kan.) before the Tigers travel to the
highly competitive Southern Stampede (Joplin, Mo.) on September 18. Fort Hays
State will battle another tough field at the Gans Creek Classic (Columbia, Mo.)
on September 30 hosted by SEC member Missouri before wrapping up the regular
season on October 15 at the Trojan Invite (Colby, Kan.).

The championship phase of the fall season begins in
Jefferson City, Mo. as Lincoln plays host to the MIAA Championships on November
5. The Tigers will then return to Joplin, Mo. for the NCAA Division II Central
Region Championships on November 19 with a trip to University Place, Wash. and
the NCAA Division II Championships (Dec. 3) on the line.

the Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State.After the calendar turns to 2023, the track and field
programs will take a tour of indoor facilities in Kansas at the Washburn Rust
Buster (Jan. 21, Topeka), the Jayhawk Classic (Jan. 27, Lawrence) and the Herm
Wilson Invitational (Feb. 3-4, Wichita) before returning to Pittsburg State for
the highly anticipated Gorilla Classic (Feb. 10-11). The regular season
concludes the following week with a trip to the Bob Devaney Sports Center for
the Nebraska Tune-Up (Feb. 17, Lincoln, Neb.). The Tigers will then travel to
Pittsburg a third time for the MIAA Indoor Championships (Feb. 24-26) before heading
to the east coast in Virginia Beach, Va. for the NCAA Division II Indoor
Championships (March 10-11) at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.The outdoor season is slated to begin in late March before
concluding with the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships at the CSU Pueblo
ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo. May 25-27. The Tigers will host the annual FHSU
Alex Francis Classic late in the regular season on April 28 at the FHSU Track
and Field Facility. Other regional competition in the spring includes trips to
Wichita State (April 7-8), Nebraska-Kearney (April 1 and 15, May 13), and host
of the 2024 and 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, Emporia State
(March 24-25, April 22).Outside of those regional competitions, the Tigers are
planning trips to California and Texas for marquee events in pursuit of NCAA
qualifying marks and school records. In 2022, trips to these two states
produced seven school records, 17 NCAA Provisional marks and 15 FHSU DII era
top 10 performances. The Tigers plan to make their inaugural trip to the highly
acclaimed Stanford Invitational at the Cobb Track &amp; Angell Field in Palo
Alto, Calif. March 24-25. Fort Hays State will return to the Bay Area the
following week the following week (March 30-April 1) to compete in San Francisco
State's Mike Fanelli Classic, doing so for the first time since 2015. The
Tigers will also send athletes to Austin, Texas that week (March 29-April 1)
for the prestigious 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers
Stadium on Texas' campus, doing so for the second year in a row.The Tigers will return to southern California two weeks
later, competing at three different venues between April 12-15. Fort Hays State
will compete in Long Beach, Calif. at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April
13) and Beach Invitational (April 14-15) at the Jack Rose Track on the campus
of Long Beach State. The Tigers will also attend the historically famous 63rd
Mt. SAC Relays (April 12-15) at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut Calif., hosted
by Mt. San Antonio Community College presented by Nike. Additional Tiger
student-athletes will compete at the prominent Bryan Clay Invitational (April
13-15) at Cougar Athletic Stadium hosted by Azusa Pacific in Azusa, Calif.After hosting the Alex Francis Classic in late April, the
Tigers will head off to Jefferson City, Mo. for the MIAA Outdoor Championships
as Lincoln once again assumes hosting duties May 5-7.Fort Hays State returns an impressive crop of athletes that
