JEFFERSON COUNTY —The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that occurred just before 9p.m. Sunday in Jefferson County.
The Patrol reported a Honda UTV and a Polaris UTV were eastbound side-by-side on Half Mound Road at Coal Creek Road approximately 4 and one half miles north of Valley Falls. A rear passenger in one of the vehicles exited the vehicle while it was in motion and was struck and killed by the other vehicle.
