JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement authorities are investigating to suspects on drug allegations.
On Feb. 26, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on 198th Road near Q. Road in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
Deputies seized illegal drug contraband during the stop. John Albert Johnston, 39, and Melissa Ann Hibbs, 40, both of Topeka, were arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail. Johnston was booked on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and driving while habitual violator. Hibbs was booked on requested charges of possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
