Updated studio equipment at SHPBS supported by Russell County Area Community Foundation grant

BUNKER HILL — Smoky Hills PBS (SHPBS) is pleased to announce it has received a $2,500 grant from the Russell County Area Community Foundation to support the purchase of updated station equipment for its new studio.

This funding will play an important role in enhancing the station’s production capabilities as Smoky Hills PBS continues to invest in its future. Updated equipment will allow the station to improve the quality of its local productions and ensure viewers continue to receive reliable, high-quality programming.

“We are very thankful to the Russell County Area Community Foundation for their support of this important project,” said Betsy Schwien, general manager of Smoky Hills PBS. “As we continue building our new studio, investments like this help us modernize our equipment and strengthen our ability to serve our viewers with the best possible content.”

The new studio represents a significant step forward for Smoky Hills PBS, creating new opportunities for local storytelling, educational programming, and community engagement across central and western Kansas.
