BARRY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 2p.m. Monday at Table Rock Lake.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Jon boat driven by a 57-year-old Shell Knob man and a 2015 Regal open motorboat driven by a 61-year-old Cassville man collided on the Kings River Arm of Table Rock Lake.
The 57-year-old was pronounced dead and transported to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. EMS transported a 63-year-old female passenger in the motorboat to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The 61-year-old man was not injured. None of those involved were wearing life jackets, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
