Kan. man arrested after convenience store shooting

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and have made an arrest.

On Tuesday, police responded to to a convenience store at 746 NE Wabash in Topeka on a report of a shooting, according to Lt. Manuel Munoz.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers later locate the suspect, Michael Gene Moore, 54, who was arrested and transported to the Shawnee County Department of corrections. He was booked on a requested charge of Aggravated Battery and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
