Donald Trump has become the first former U.S. president to be charged with a crime.
One former member of the Kansas congressional delegation who also served as Secretary of State in the Trump administration and both United States Senators from Missouri expressed opinion about the indictment. Senator Jerry Moran has yet to comment on the historic indictment.
As of 8a.m. Friday, Marshall had not posted anything to social media since early Thursday. In January of 2021, he was quick to defend Trump who was facing an impeachment trial.
Moran was also silent on the impeachment. The former President endorsed Moran for reelection in 2022. Trump's effort helped Moran avoid a challenge in the GOP primary.
Trump now faces threats to his freedom after decades of legal investigations that have never resulted in serious consequences, and he will have to contend with a court case while seeking the White House again.
