OSAGE COUNTY —On Saturday morning, the Osage County Deputy Christian Moran, Corporal Clayton Hartpence, K9 Deputy James Cason, and Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Adam Ellis were injured by gunfire while responding to a call for service.

All four officers were taken to the hospital for treatment.  While each of these officers is receiving excellent care, they all have a long road ahead toward a full recovery, according to a Monday evening statement from the Osage County Sheriff.  This is only the beginning of the healing process for them and their families.
