HUTCHINSON— A Kansas man is in jail for the alleged physical abuse of a child under the age of 18.
On Thursday, police arrested 29, year-old Dillon Dixon of Hutchinson in connection with beating a child in September of 2020. A warrant was issued for his arrest following an investigation by law enforcement.
He is also being held on requested charges of suspicion of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in contraband, and a violation of his parole from the state of Missouri after a burglary conviction, according to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
The possible drug counts came during his arrest, according to police. Dixon's bond has been set at $28,500.
His next court appearance is tentatively set for Feb. 22.
