NORTON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 5 p.m. Sunday in Norton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 GMC Yukon driven by Bryndon A. Wentz, 19, Norton, was southbound on Kansas 383 three miles south of U.S. 36.
The driver turned in front of a northbound 2013 Kenworth Semi driven by Julian Barbosa-Moreno, 46, Tecoman, Mexico. The semi struck the SUV.
EMS transported Wentz to the hospital in Norton. Barbosa-Moreno was not injured. Wentz was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
