Kan. woman charged with recruiting criminal gang membership

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas woman arrested in connection with a January 1 murder in Wichita made her first court appearance Friday.

Isabel Martin, 21 of Wichita, was charged with recruiting criminal street gang membership, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office. The alleged crime is a felony.

Isabel Diane Leeann Martin was the third person arrested in the death of 22-year-old Gabriel Campos-Torres.

He was found shot early Jan. 1 and died at the scene. Police had previously arrested her brother 19-year-old Noah Martin of Wichita and a 16-year-old boy in the killing. Noah Martin has been charged with Second-Degree murder, theft and recruiting gang members, according to the district attorney's office.

Isabel Martin's next court appearance is April 22. Her bond is $100,000, according to the district attorney.
