
SEDGWICK COUNTY– A Kansas teacher, accused of sex crimes involving a student, made her first appearance before a judge Thursday.
Nicole Morgan Baird Hernandez, 30, was charged with four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office. She was an art teacher at Wichita North High School, according to the school web site. The student involved was over the age of 16, according to the arrest report.
On May 22, police arrested her in the 300 Block of West Tyler in Wichita, according to Sedgwick County booking reports.
She met the requirements of a $50,000 bond and is no longer in custody, according to online jail records. She is due back in court on June 16, according to the district attorney's office.
