
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and have made an arrest.
On October 2, police were dispatched to a disturbance with shots fired near 8th and Fillmore in Topeka, according to Lt. Kelvin Johnson.
Officers arrived and met with several people in the area and located one subject with an obvious gunshot wound. Through the investigation, a suspect was identified as Quaton Grover, 43 of Topeka.
Just after 3:00 p.m, Tuesday, with the assistance of the United State's Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Grover was located and eventually taken into custody in the 2600 block of SE Adams.
Grover was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Criminal Discharge of a Firearm stemming from the October 2nd shooting.
