SEDGWICK COUNTY—Authorities are investigating a fatal industrial accident.
Just after 8 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to an industrial accident in the 700 block of East Murdock in Wichita, according to a media release from police.
First responders located a 50-year-old later identified as Phonesay Rasbandith, with injuries to his upper body. He was operating a hydraulic press; a piece of metal separated and injured him.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 8:36 a.m. He is from Wichita.
