SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas home daycare provider who admitted to abuse of a child will learn her fate Friday.

Judge Quinten Pittman will sentence 29-year-old Ija Hall, the ower of His Loving Hands Home Childcare, 357 N. Erie in Wichita, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

In July Hall pleaded guilty to child abuse.  In June she told the court she would face a jury but changed her mind.

In September of 2024, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment suspended Hall's day care  license after an incident involving a child she was fostering. A protective order was issued during her first court appearance, according to the district attorney's office. She was not to have contact with the victim in the case or any child under the age of 12.

One of her foster children was burned in a bathtub, according to the KDHE. A second foster child had bruises and missing teeth.

Hall is not in custody after meeting the requirement of a $25,000 bond.
