Police: 23-year-old Kansas man shot at his home

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a weekend shooting.

Just before 8 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting at a home in the 2600 block of North Madison, according officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, officers contacted a 23-year-old man who had been shot.  He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed the victim met with individuals known to him at the home on North Madison.  After arriving, a suspect shot him with a handgun and fled the scene.

Police have not reported an arrest.
