Indictment: Man used semi-automatic pistol during Kan. bank robbery

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – A federal grand jury in Kansas City returned an indictment charging a Kansas City, Kansas man with one count of bank robbery and one count of use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, according to the United State's Attorney.

According to court documents, in September 2021, Davonte Chaney, 29, allegedly used a semi-automatic pistol to rob Truity Credit Union on West 31st Street in Lawrence, Kansas. 

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Lawrence, Kansas Police Department investigated the case.
