KANSAS CITY—A bicyclist injured in a hit-and-run in Kansas City on Monday has died.
According to KCPD officer Phil DiMartino, a blue Raleigh bicycle was southbound on Brooklyn in Kansas City, Missouri just before 12:30a.m. Just north of 29th Street, a southbound vehicle struck the bicyclist.
The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected off the bicycle. The unknown vehicle left the scene of the collision without stopping. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
On Friday, police reported the bicyclist had died of his injuries just before 5:30p.m. Thursday, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
