SHAWNEE COUNTY —Just before 4p.m. Tuesday, police reported they located the black Volkswagon Passat and two individuals are currently in custody, according to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols.
Police are still looking for the puppy and ask the public to assist with any information they may have. The investigation is ongoing.

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a car theft with a dog in the vehicle and asking the public for help to find the car.
Just after 5:30a.m. Tuesday, the black Volkswagon Passat with Kansas tag number 0806ABC, was reportedly stolen from the Kwik Shop at SW 6th and Macvicar in Topeka, according to Topeka Police.
It was also determined there was a puppy inside the vehicle at the time it was stolen. Police released recent photos of the vehicle and the dog.
