#5 Salina Central 52 - Hays 29

An 8-0 early first quarter run provided the cushion that the Central Mustangs held for the first half. Trailing 10-1 the Indians had the ball seven times but scored just once closing the game down to 10-3.

Despite shooting just 14% in the first half the Indians never let up the defensive pressure holding the high-octane Mustangs to 25 first half points. Hays trailed at the mid-game break 25-14.

Twelve of the Indians twenty-one games this season came against opponents that were ranked at some point during the season.
