Sheriff investigating more cattle thefts in Kansas

COWLEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating two reports of cattle theft from pasture land in the northwest part of Cowley County, according to Sheriff Dave Faletti.

The sheriff's office received the first report on September 12, and a second report on September 16. In total, approximately 30 head of cattle have been reported stolen.

Deputies are actively investigating both cases and are working closely with neighboring law enforcement agencies, area ranchers, and livestock markets in an effort to track the movement of the stolen cattle.

Sheriff David Falletti urges residents, particularly those in rural and agricultural areas, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity involving livestock transport or unfamiliar vehicles near pastures.
