SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged drunk driving crash that sent 4 to the hospital.

Just after 10 a.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspected intoxicated driver near 95th Street South and Broadway, according to Lt. Benjamin Blick.

Moments later, a two vehicle injury accident was reported south of 103rd Street South and Broadway. Deputies arrived and located a severely damaged Ford Escape and Ford Fiesta.

During the collision investigation deputies learned the southbound Ford Escape operated by a 46-year-old man crossed the center line and struck the northbound Ford Fiesta driven by a 46-year-old woman. It was also determined the Ford Escape was the vehicle described in the earlier report of a suspected intoxicated driver.

The driver of the Ford Escape was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers in the Ford Fiesta, ages 21 and 11, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities released no additional details Friday afternoon.
