MARION COUNTY—One. person died in an accident just before 10p.m. Saturday in Marion County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Alicia D. Warwick, 38, Peabody, was northbound on Kansas 15 at U.S. 56 seven miles west of Hillsboro.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign and the car struck the trailer of an eastbound 2021 Freightliner semi driven by Alfred S. Johnson, 34, Hockley, Texas.
Warwick was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported Jost Funeral Home. EMS transported two passengers in the car 14-year-old Jason Ortiz and 14-year-old Gabe Glenn to Wesley Medical Center. The KHP did not reported the hometowns of the teens. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
