RENO COUNTY— The driver who died in the crash Friday on U.S. 50 Highway and Salem Road in Reno County was William Duran of Gardner, Colorado, according to a statement from the Reno County Sheriff.
The accident occurred just after 11:30a.m. Friday in Reno County.
The Reno County Sheriff reported a three wheeled motorcycle driven by Duran was westbound on U.S. 50 highway at Salem Road. The motorcycle rear-ended a passenger van that was stopped, waiting for a westbound semi-truck preparing to turn south from US 50 Highway. Duran was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two occupants of the van were treated at the scene and released.
During the investigation, US 50 Highway was reduced to one lane of traffic. The roadway has since been fully reopened.
This accident remains under investigation.
