MORGAN COUNTY—A Kansas man drowned just after 4:30p.m. Saturday at Lake of the Ozarks.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the 62-year-old Shawnee, Kansas man voluntarily entered the water from a dock at 32659 Crescent Drive. He surfaced, then submerged and never resursafed.
The Mid-County dive team recovered the man and he was pronounced deceased at the scene just after 8p.m. He was transported to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The MSHP no longer releases names of drowning victims.
