Suspects jailed for robbery, promoting prostitution in Kansas

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a robbery and have made two arrests.

Just before 7a.m. Sunday, police responded the 1600 block of SW 37th Terrace on the report of a possible robbery that occurred at a different location earlier in the day, according to Lt. John Trimble.

Officers arrived on scene and were able to determine the robbery took place in the 3800 block of SW Topeka Blvd. Officers responded to that location where they were able to locate a crime scene and suspects involved.

Police brought those suspects to the Law Enforcement Center for interviews and arrested 29-year-old Taurean Ross on requested charges of  Aggravated Robbery, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They also arrested 37-year-old Christina Wallace on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery and Promoting the Sale of Sexual Relations, according to Lt. Trimble.
