HARVEY COUNTY—A Kansas woman died in an accident just before 2p.m. Saturday in Harvey County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Hyundai Accent driven by Konner Lynne&nbsp;Hayes, 29, Newton, was northbound on Interstate 135 two miles south of Newton.

The car crossed the median and collided with a southbound 2024 Freightliner semi driven by Salpyyev Suleyman, 44, Jacksonville, Florida.

 Vehicle 1 came to rest facing Southwest in the left-hand lane. Vehicle 1 came to rest jackknifed across both Northbound lanes on I135.

Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the&nbsp;Kansas Forensics Lab. Suleyman was not injured. Hayes was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
