Sheriff: Kansas woman was transporting meth

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just after 4:30p.m. Sept. 2, a sheriff’s deputy arrested  27-year-old Carmelle Marie Inez Stoweres on Topeka in the 12000 block of 150th Street in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Stowers was allegedly in possession of illegal drug contraband and was booked into jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
