TOPEKA — The Kansas Supreme Court is seeking comment on the new Kansas House and Kansas Senate maps.
The Kansas Constitution requires the Supreme Court to determine the validity of reapportioned state legislative districts within 30 days of the attorney filing a petition making that request.
Attorney General Derek Schmidt filed the petition April 25.
Now, the Court is requesting public comments. Written comments are due to the Court no later 5 p.m. on Monday, May 9.
The general public can submit statements via email to [email protected] or click here for specific instructions for submitting comments.
