
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man in connection with alleged human trafficking.
On October 27, sheriff's deputies responded to a check welfare call in the 2200 block of NE 39th Street, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. Information received during that initial investigation led to the discovery of a 17-year-old female victim of sexual crimes.
Patrol deputies located the suspect at a residence in the 200 block of SE Kellam Avenue. Detectives were notified, responded to the scene and took Gene A. Jinson, 42, of Topeka to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charged of aggravated human trafficking.
