SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating human remains found in Shawnee County.
On Friday, police reported that just after 5:30p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a deceased individual in the area of NE U.S. 24 Highway and NE Calhoun Bluff Road, according to a media release. Upon arrival, officers discovered human remains.
At this time, foul play is not suspected. Police have not released the name of the deceased until official confirmation and the next of kin have been notified.
