JACKSON COUNTY– Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just after 1a.m. Nov. 21., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Taurus for multiple traffic violations in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The driver was identified as Ashley Lynea Chase, 40, of Topeka. A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 detected the presence of illegal drugs within the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which resulted in the discovery of illegal drugs inside the vehicle.
Chase was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, display any canceled, revoked, or suspended driver’s license.
