
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating three suspects on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Shortly before midnight on October 10, a deputy sheriff stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction near 150th and U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested the driver of the vehicle later identified as Hunter Clayton Williams, 22, of Manhattan on requested charges possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp. He was also accused of trafficking contraband into a correctional facility, according to Morse.

Deputies also arrested a passenger, Dakota Dawn Wood, 29, of Manhattan, on requested charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
A second passenger, Nickolas LaPlant, 42, of Manhattan was arrested on a Shawnee County felony warrant for narcotics.
All three remain in custody, according to online jail records.
