2 shot outside North KC High School during basketball game

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a  shooting at North Kansas City High School.

On Saturday afternoon, police responded after two people were shot outside North Kansas City High School, 620 E 23rd Ave, North Kansas City, during a basketball game.

 The shooting occurred as North Kansas City Hornets and Staley Falcons were participating in the Class 6 District 8 High School Basketball Tournament.  The school was also hosting a debate tournament Saturday evening, according to the school web site.

EMS transported the shooting victims to an area hospital. Police have not reported an arrest or additional details.
