Police: After a week, Kan. rape suspect turns himself in

TOPEKA —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a violent domestic incident and after asking the public for help to locate  a suspect now have 34-year-old Stefon C. Butler in custody.

On Tuesday evening, Butler turned himself in to authorities, according to Lt. Shane Hilton.

He was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated battery, Aggravated assault, Rape and Criminal Restraint.

On March 24, police responded to the 1300 block of SW Lincoln Street in Topeka on a report of a violent domestic disturbance.

Throughout the course of the investigation, Butler had been identified as a person of interest in this incident.
