SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for traveling 100mph in a posted 65mph zone on Interstate 235 near 13th Street in Wichita last week.

According to a social media report from the KHP, the vehicle was observed passing multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed. During the stop, the Trooper suspected the driver to be impaired. The evidentiary breath test registered a 0.153 BAC.
The driver was arrested for DUI and multiple other requested charges, including reckless driving.
"Driving impaired puts everyone at risk. Driving above the posted speed limit puts everyone at risk. Add both of those together, and there is even more risk to family, friends, and everyone else on the roadway."
