WICHITA, Kan. — The Wichita Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday in Wichita.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Naomi Oglesby, a resident of Wichita. At the time of the incident, she was pregnant, according to Office Rick Pena. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she was pronounced dead at 5:04 a.m. &nbsp;

Doctors were able to deliver her infant, who is currently receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital.&nbsp; The suspect in this case has been taken into custody on a requested charge of first-degree murder. &nbsp;
