Kansas man dies after crash with a semi

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after 1p.m. Wednesday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by  Joseph S. Soza, 61, Wichita, was westbound on Kansas 42 just east of 87th Street South.

The pickup crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2015 Kenworth semi driven by Bowhay, Bradley Dean Bowhay, 50, Fall River, Kansas.

Souza was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center. Bowhay was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
