JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a fatal Kansas officer involved shooting.
Just after 3a.m. Sunday, police responded to report of a person armed with a gun at an apartment complex in the 12400 block of W. 97th Terrace in Lenexa, according to a media release.
Shots were fired by at least one Lenexa officer, and one person is deceased. No officers were injured. The Johnson County Officer Involved Critical Incident Investigation Team has been activated and is in charge of this investigation.
