Sheriff: Man jailed for weapons violation, transporting meth in Kansas

 JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a Nebraska man on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.

Just before 2:30p.m. May 23, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Subaru Forester for a traffic infraction on U.S. 75 Highway near 126th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

  After the traffic stop was completed, the driver, Michael Glebavicius, 55, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested following a search of the vehicle. During the search, methamphetamine, marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located.  

Glebavicius was booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal carrying of a weapon.
