BROWN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Wednesday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Ford F150 driven by Efrain Perez-Ordonez, 58, Hood, Texas, was stopped at the stop sign on Eastbound 260th Road at U.S. 75 one half mile east of Sabetha.
The driver failed to yield right of way and entered the intersection. A southbound 2011 Nissan Rogue driven by Rodney G. Sanner, 61, Sabetha, struck the drivers side of the pickup. Both vehicles came to rest in a ditch at the southeast corner of the intersection.
Sanner and a passenger in the Nissan Robin G. Sanner, 53, Sabetha, were pronounced dead at the scene. Perez-Ordonez was not injured. The KHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
