SEDGWICK COUNTY—The Sedgwick County zoo welcomed a new bald eagle Wednesday.
According to the zoo's social media page, "as a juvenile, Kiki was found injured after a suspected collision with power lines, resulting in damage to both wings."
"Despite expert care and rehabilitation, those injuries left Kiki unable to fly and unable to be released back into the wild. She has spent the past several years helping people connect with wildlife through educational experiences."
"Now, at approximately 10 years old, we’re honored to provide Kiki with a new home while helping guests care, connect, and conserve."
