
OTTAWA COUNTY —A small earthquake shook north-central Kansas Thursday.
The 3.2 magnitude quake was recorded just after 4:30a.m. and was centered approximately 2 and one half miles north of Bennington, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The Kansas Geological Survey initially recorded the quake as a magnitude 3.6.

Just before 4a.m. Thursday, the USGS reported a magnitude 4.0 quake near Chandler Oklahoma, approximately 250 miles south of Salina.
The Ottawa County, Kansas Sheriff received one phone call asking about the quake. They have not received any report of damage or injuries.
