JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Wednesday inside an apartment in the Meadows Apartments, 7600 block of Halsey in Lenexa has been identified as 22-year-old Sadie “Cayden” Riedel of Lenexa, according to a media release.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported another person to an area hospital He remains hospitalized in serious condition as a result of a gunshot wound.
The couple were known to one another and resided together at the involved apartment. Police are not looking for any other involved persons.
