MANHATTAN—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on attempted robbery charges after an arrest in Manhattan.

Just after 4a.m. Tuesday, the Riley County Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting an attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated assault in the 800 block of N 4th St at McDonalds in Manhattan, according to a media release.

Officers listed a 30-year-old male, a 25-year-old male, a 26-year-old male and McDonalds as the victims when it was reported a known suspect brandished a firearm and asked for money.

Just before 10:30 a.m., police arrested Tayvon N. Agnew-Nash, 20, of St. George in requested charges of attempted aggravated robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, felon in possession of a firearm and theft.

Agnew-Nash remains jailed on a total bond of $200,000.00, according to police.
