KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating another weekend homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 18-year-old Jeremiah Jones.
Just after 8:30p.m. Sunday, patrol officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Winner Road on a reported disturbance, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
When officers arrived they located security guards from a nearby apartment complex. The guards directed the officers to a gas station near the intersection where they believed someone had been shot.
Behind the gas station officers located Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began performing lifesaving measures and ordered EMS to the scene. KCFD Medics transported Jones to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody.
