WOODSON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Saturday in Woodson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Yamaha Raptor 4-wheeler driven by John C. Mattox, 56, Leroy, Kansas, was eastbound on 200th Road in the North ditch at Tadpole Road. The vehicle entered the roadway and overturned in the middle of the road.
Mattox was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
