Man dies after car fire at home in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating a fatal car fire at a home in Kansas City.

Just after 6:30a.m. Thursday, crews responded to a reported fire in the 8300 block of Oak Street, according to KCFD Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.

First responders discovered a car fire in the driveway with a 28-year-old man outside the vehicle in the driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The incident remains under investigation, according KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez. The name of the victim has not been released.
